Jonathon, I would love to learn more about the culture of PathMotion & from an Ops perspective, the biggest challenge?

Hi Ed, thanks for the question!
PathMotion is by no means a large company (yet), so I feel my description of the culture would be fairly similar to others: heavy emphasis on teamwork and problem solving to get the results our clients (and us) are after.
Having been here for more than 5 years, I'm one of the longest standing PathMotioners today. I've seen the company and its culture evolve over time, and the main pillars stay the same. We tend to look out for each other and help wherever possible, that is only further emphasised during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In terms of Operations, the size of the company means that everyone has a specific role, be it developer, or a marketing or sales manager. My biggest challenge is to not only unite and link solutions between these teams, but to encourage a broader way of thinking, empowering everyone to raise or flag issues in their work that could have implications on other teams or the company overall. It's extremely satisfying to see my peers working together and making that a reality.
I hope this gives you an idea of what it's like within PM, I'm happy to go into more detail if you have other questions!

Jonathon - thank you and it sounds a fascinating and great place to work. So key as a business scales. Would love to speak to someone re COO role, can you advise please? Ed

Hi again Ed, have you applied for the role? If so, someone will undoubtedly reach out in the future. If you haven't applied yet, I would definitely encourage you to do so if you think you're suited.
The COO's role will be fairly different in comparison to what I do on a daily basis: I concentrate on finding ways to improve all types of processes (teams, automation of systems, etc.); the COO, amongst other things, will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of results of the various teams across the company and will obviously work directly with the co-founders. They would be best placed to answer other questions relating to the COO role if you have any.
Happy to answer anything else!
