Hi Ashley,
Great question. We plan (or at least will try!) to maintain our culture by:
- Making sure we hire the right people who are aligned with our values, including by making sure we communicate openly about those (including through the PathMotion platform - you'll find plenty of info about our values if you search about them on this platform) and by making sure we never compromise on those when choosing new team members (we try as much as we can to have employees meet our candidates as they move through the process to ensure everyone feels aligned).
- Constantly monitor our values & culture and make sure people are happy with it (we conduct regular anonymous surveys - the last one resulted in an NPS score of 39).
- Constantly keep in check and improve areas where we feel we can do better (at our last team event in Agadir the team came up with 3 clear initiatives they are currently putting in place to improve areas we feel we can do better on).
- Nurture and recognize the right behaviours aligned with our values: we tend to bring our values to life through concrete stories and examples and make sure those get shared across the team, including through our slack channel as well as at our team events.
It's definitely an area that is top of mind and is equally if not more important than focusing on growth, product innovation our other areas of the business.
Do you have any view from your experience on how you feel a company can maintain its culture while it grows?
Cheers,
David
