Hi James,
PM's onboarding process is pretty clean at this point, we revamped it earlier this year to streamline the process for everyone involved.
We now have straightforward checklists for HR, direct managers and the person being onboarded themselves to follow, that means by the time our new hire arrives, everything has been set up in the background and they have a useful list of items to check off during their first couple of days.
The checklist we've made for them includes a few operational items (like computer and account setup), as well as various meetings that have been set up with our teams so they can meet everyone.
The new hire arrives at their desk with a welcome pack, including some PM merch and a computer, then they'll have a team lunch with everyone in their office.
Internally, the new hire's manager has a simple guide to follow to put everything in place, so all in all I think it's a fairly good and easy system, but then again I could be somewhat biased since I put it in place! I'll invite a couple of our more recent team members to give their opinion on their experiences, otherwise let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you Jonathon, really detailed response. It sounds like on boarding really builds a strong impression straight away.

Hi James,
Jonathon D. gave an accurate description of the process - I found that my on-boarding was streamlined, straight-forward and went ahead with no issue.
The checklist (which I was sent in advance of my first day) was a great resource, and instructions for getting set up on all accounts you'll need access to were straightforward. Any additional training you'll need is also included in your welcome pack and/or provided by your line manager — and any technical queries you do have can be directed at Jonathon who'll be more than happy to help!
The meetings you have with key members across all teams over the first week helped me to understand how PathMotion works from all perspectives as well as building the relationships with everyone in your office - and you'll find these develop as time goes on! Overall, the process of joining was smooth... and enjoyable!
I hope my experience gives you a useful insight into the onboarding process.

Hi James,
To further add to Jonathon and Hidaya's answers to your question, I completely agree with both of them. As a relatively new member of the team, I was genuinely made to feel very welcome during my on boarding process. Meeting the key members from each team and really understanding what every department does, is extremely helpful, on top of the training that is provided by the hiring manager.
Personally, something that I think is very unique about PathMotion and their on boarding process, is the fact they provide you with on the job training from the get go. Within my first week I was able to meet clients and take part in user demo's with my manager. I found this very refreshing when compared to previous employers as the training was predominantly reading and watching videos in the first couple of weeks.
I hope that gives you a good idea as to what you could expect?
