Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for your question.

I would start by saying that "successful" is a big word right now, and it wouldn't be true to describe PathMotion as that today (yet). We are working hard every day to drive towards success, but nothing is really won and ongoing efforts to improve are key.

We are very proud of what we successfully built as a product within a market where no such initiative existed before. Either in the UK or in France, and now starting in the US. At the time, we kind of educated the market to not be afraid about using their employee voices as a key asset in attracting talent to join them. Now the "employer branding" efforts are quite trendy, but they were not when we started building our vision.

In terms of success, we are also very focused to provide amazing support and relations with our current and future clients, and this is also key to build a sustainable business. Listening to those clients and the general market is also very important for staying on top of the needs, trying to solve real issues with proper solutions, without losing focus of our initial corporate vision and mission.

Hope that helps you to understand how we are trying to bring PathMotion to what we would qualify as a "success" soon :)

Cheers,
Nassim

Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for your question.

To echo Nassim, I agree we are still at the beginning of a long journey, giving an opportunity to Outsiders to have access to Insiders information.

That being said there are a few factors that have helped us reach the stage we are in, including:

Addressing a real market need

People are in demand for relevant information to make informed decisions about their career (for candidates) or about university (for students). Those are critical choices one makes in a life and it’s critical in today’s age to give those candidates and students authentic answers regarding those questions. Organisations have such a wide variety of stories available for free through their Insiders and our platform just enables that information to be shared at scale in an efficient way.

Well executed idea

There is a famous quote from Thomas Edison that says Genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration. This is very much true in the start-up world where an idea alone won’t get you far; you need to be persistent, hard-working and open-minded in the way you are putting that idea to execution. You need to accept you’ll make lots of mistakes along the way and constantly adapt and adjust. It’s not only about the What but also about the How and that’s what we constantly keep an eye on at PathMotion. It’s what led us to pivot our model while staying in synch with our chore mission.

Passionate and complementary team

Needless to say that you need to surround yourself with the best people. Over the years we have discovered that skilled and smart people won’t be enough, you need to have people who are passionate about your mission and fit well together to create exponential value. For that to happen you have to be clear about your values and the culture you want to build and make sure you hire people who are aligned with those. It’s all work in progress as we go along our journey but we all know we are ready to go big, whatever it takes.

Hope this is useful.
Don’t hesitate if you have other questions.

Best,
David
