Are people encouraged to lead projects within the company in addition to their regular tasks?

Hello Arielle,
I am part of the sales team in Paris. My job on daily basis is to focus on developing new business opportunities in France (from the first contact to the closing). Nevertheless, i am regularly in contact with Zoe from the Marketing team to set up mailing sequences in our CRM. Also, I used to work abroad in the Middle East region and David, the Co-founder, is okay for me to prospect there, and if i generate leads I will be the one managing them.
So basically, the head of each department lets you take the initiative.
