Hi Anthony,
The main two issues we saw was that on the one hand, in the current war for talent top candidates can afford to be picky and therefore expect an answer to their questions.
On the other hand however, employers have not sufficiently adapted the way they communicate to candidates. In particular career sites (the #1 way candidates research an employer) don't - and cannot- paint a full picture to answer all candidate questions. Also whatever information is available on typical recruitment channels is corporate-driven and therefore no longer sufficiently trusted by candidates.
It is these gaps, a content gap and a credibility gap, that we wanted to address through PathMotion. Interestingly, we sold the platform to our first 2 clients without having yet coded the platform - this gave us quite some reassurance that we got our core thesis right!
Over time we found other more specific pains that our platform could address, such as candidate experience and diversity recruiting.
Are there any other particular employer pain points you picked up?
