I always enjoy hearing the story about how a company came up with its name. What made you decide on PathMotion?

Hello Zach,
Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow and thanks for the question.
Actually it was David R. who came up with the name.
In a nutshell it has to do with "Path" and "Motion" (aka set your career Path in Motion). And it was short and catchy!
David R. did I miss anything?

Hi Zachary,
Thanks for the interesting question which reminds me of a nice story! :)
When I met David & Alon and decided to join, the project's vision of the final company name was not yet chosen. As the vision was to help people in their career and to leverage new opportunity they maybe never thought about, the code-name used for that project was "Prêt-à-Inspirer" (French, meaning "Ready to Inspire").
We knew a such name would not fit as an official one; it was too long, not international, hard to pronounce, and most of all not very nice.
During a Saturday morning brainstorming session in David's living room (where the company started), lots of name ideas came up on the table. However, we stayed with the idea that we wanted to help people put their career in motion… A career is a kind of "path", and at that time we were working on getting a lot of anonymous CVs to study their career paths and do analytics on them…
That's how "PathMotion" as a company name was born, and today, we are still helping candidates move up in their career, using the experience and career path of company's Insiders to inspire those candidates. The circle is complete. :)
Cheers.

My co-founders never miss anything, that's why I have chosen them ;). They are both spot on!
Looking forward to seeing you later today and hopefully help you put your path in motion with us.
Best,
David
