Having the autonomy to solve big problems and make a real difference, even as an intern, is one of the things that really gives me a sense of achievement. It might be working with a big client solve an issue with candidate attraction at their end, or finding a means of helping PathMotion improve and grow as a company.
Perhaps surprisingly, this internal side is often particularly exciting, because in a start-up like this you're seeing first-hand how a business works from the top to the bottom. You're regularly chatting to the co-founders, the sales teams and the tech team and learning from what they're doing, so it's a great opportunity to grow personally. For me, it's a good day when I come out of it feeling like I've learnt something new or progressed in some way, because these are the experiences that are going to be invaluable for me when graduation looms and the job hunt begins!

As a Client Success Manager, I need to ensure that those in my team feel like they are learning and growing. When there's a lot going on, it's easy for an intern to lose track of the activities they've been involved in. Therefore, I try to include reflection and feedback sessions into the workload (to avoid it falling to the bottom of their priority pile). It's so lovely to hear this from you Fergus W.!
