An evolution from established corporations to dynamic environments
Whilst everywhere I’ve worked has always been very international and diverse, there has been a natural progression from larger enterprises towards smaller, more dynamic companies. I started out my career working in marketing at Unilever, a massive consumer goods company. Then I spent time with McKinsey as a management consultant for large enterprises throughout Europe and North America. After this, I started to move towards smaller, more dynamic environments: I worked at GLG, the world’s leading platform for expert recruitment, which actually had quite a lot in common with PathMotion. My current role is a natural evolution towards a dynamic workplace environment with the familiar concept of talent technology.”
I am the Managing Director at PathMotion
As a Managing Director at PathMotion, I oversee all the aspects of the business, focusing on scaling our technology and product offerings, as well as expanding our client base, while improving the user experience for both candidates and insiders.
The business model, the opportunity, and of course the people
There are three parts to why I chose PathMotion:
1. The Business Model - I find the concept extremely exciting. The idea of leveraging technology to connect candidates and employers in a meaningful way is a purpose that I can connect with, both as a candidate and as an employer. The old way of engaging with candidates will only get you so far.
2. The Opportunity - the chance to join a dynamic environment, to be able to develop and test new technology quickly, and receive user feedback immediately is very rewarding.
3. The People - working with a talented, diverse team, who all share the same vision of the product.
Don’t sweat the small stuff!
Don’t sweat the small stuff! Focus on the key aspects of your career that are important to you, the rest will sort itself out.
